With the Bartlett Mountains as a backdrop and a beautiful turn-of-the century, mission-style lodge, this picturesque Spanish-style resort recalls the rural California that Mark Twain found so endearing. All life here centers around Clear Lake, the largest freshwater lake within California's borders and offers great fishing. The area surrounding the lake begs to be hiked, biked and savored as a lifetime memory. The resort has outdoor pools for adults and children, an outdoor spa, game room, fitness center, pool table, children's play area, a library and a boat dock and launch.

Destination Highlights

This picturesque area of California is known as the "Switzerland of America." Ninety minutes to the east are the famous wineries of Napa Valley. You can go from one to another tasting and learning all there is to know about the fruit of the vine, then board the Napa Valley Wine Train for a scenic journey through the valley. Hot air balloon rides are also popular for breathtaking views of the vineyards. There are soaring glider rides in Middletown and San Francisco is a 31/2-hour drive from this resort. California's own Old Faithful Geyser is an hour's drive as is the Petrified Forest.

Unit Highlights

The rooms at WorldMark Wine Country Clear Lake are exceptional. They offer gas fireplaces, a stereo with CD player, cable TV and DVD player, high-speed Internet access, a washer and dryer and a balcony or terrace. Studios sleep two while three bedrooms sleep up to eight. Two-bedroom units, which sleep up to six adults and children, are upstairs with no elevator service.
