Resort Description:
This 18-foot tipi in the Sierra Nevada Mountains can accommodate four guests. It is an authentic, Sioux, three-pole-style tipi, which was handmade by a local tipi maker in Bend, Oregon. It is hand-painted on the outside and has a nine-foot liner on the inside for insulation on cooler nights. There is a full-size bed in the tipi, and two extra cots are provided when at the maximum capacity of four guests.
Inside the tipi, there is a wood-burning stove, a small storage area with a cooler, and a 120V lighting system. Outside, there is a picnic table and patio furniture on the private deck. There is also a fire pit nearby, and free firewood is provided.
The kitchen is made up of an outdoor sink on the tipi's deck, as well as a food preparation area and cabinet for food storage inside of the tipi. The bathroom facilities consist of two Porta-potties. There is also a hot water shower available, but there is an extra fee of $5 per person to use it. All of the bathroom facilities are within walking distance of the tipi.
The hosts recommend that guests bring sleeping bags, warm clothes, insect repellent, and all other necessary basic camping items.
