Fort Running Bear is located 26 miles northeast of Mountain Home, 2.5 miles off Hwy 20 near Anderson Ranch Reservoir. We are within walking distance from the Little Camas Reservoir that is one of the best known fishing spots in all of Idaho. We boast snow-capped mountains year 'round and have a wealth of nature's creatures roaming our grounds.
Boasting over 40-acres of pristine wilderness, and with breathtaking views and fantastic fishing- this small paradise will provide you with endless relaxation and fun. Pull in a string of trout, while you bask in the beauty of the snow-capped mountains and clean mountain lakes! Nearby attractions include Sun Valley, ice caves, and Craters of the Moon State Park. This property is seasonal and is normally open April to October (weather permitting).
Amenities include a lounge with TV and billiards, clubhouse, and internet hookup. There is also a pool, playground, 9-hole miniature golf course, horseshoe pits, and walking trails, sure to provide hours of fun, and entertainment. They host scheduled activities such as weekend breakfasts, Saturday night potluck and Bingo, holiday events as well as group events. Don't worry - you won't encounter any actual running bears!
